Not wanting to solely rely on Microsoft Office 365 for email security and continuity, Meshew engaged Mimecast and has never looked back. Like other international law firms, Three Crowns was not immune to email-based attacks. “A massive majority of threats were coming via email and Mimecast Email Security has blocked and stopped the majority of these threats from reaching our end users,” says Meshew. After having success with Mimecast’s Email security solution, the firm also deployed Sync and Recovery to help with eDiscovery, as many of the firm’s legal documents are delivered through email.

Meshew also appreciated Mimecast’s significant API partnerships, as the firm was already engaged with CrowdStrike, a Mimecast API partner. Integrating Mimecast’s email security was easy for the IT team and provided excellent email security protection. “We integrated CrowdStrike with Mimecast to improve our visibility of vulnerability and threat sharing and to better analyze logs for security instances.” says Meshew. “We can view any threats in the Mimecast Threat Dashboard and will better understand the nature of the threat, including who was targeted, when they were targeted, as well as forensic information about the malware. It’s a big help to us.”

Three Crowns is poised to prevent major cyberattacks and has witnessed Mimecast preventing a number of cyberthreats. “Mimecast’s cybersecurity solutions are so easy to use and give us unprecedented agility to fight against advanced cybersecurity email attacks,” says Meshew. 

In addition, Meshew appreciates Mimecast’s Sync and Recovery solutions, which provides added insurance from Microsoft Office 365’s backup recovery solution. “It’s really important for our firm to have a technology solution to recover our data,” says Meshew. “We wanted more than Microsoft Office 365 could provide, so we engaged Mimecast and appreciate not only Mimecast’s Continuity, but also the solutions document management system.” Meshew adds, “Mimecast is one of my favorite products, and I have been working in IT for more than 20 years.
