An accomplished executive and 25-year cybersecurity veteran, Marc has driven growth throughout his career, now at Mimecast as the company enters its third decade of innovation. Marc is a recognized visionary in the industry, pioneering Mimecast’s shift toward human-centric security intelligence, an approach that integrates AI-driven insights with human behavior to empower organizations to proactively identify, measure, and mitigate human risk.
Prior to joining Mimecast, Marc served as CEO of Devo Technology, a cloud-native logging and security analytics platform, where he spearheaded a period of rapid growth, successfully raising $350 million in funding and tripling revenues. His operational expertise was further honed as Chief Operating Officer at LogMeIn. Earlier in his career, Marc co-founded IBM Security, growing the business unit to 8,000 employees and $2.5 billion in annual revenue, establishing it as a global cybersecurity leader.
At Mimecast, Marc champions a holistic, AI-powered approach to cybersecurity that addresses the most critical and vulnerable layer of defense – the human element. Born in the Netherlands, Marc currently resides in the Boston area with his wife and three children. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts from Bowdoin College.
