    Key Points

    1. Mimecast's third annual Global Community Resilience Month in July 2025 saw employees contribute over 800 volunteer hours, doubling their efforts since the initiative's inception in 2023.
    2. Employees engaged in 18 diverse volunteer opportunities worldwide, from STEM workshops and food pantry support to classroom rejuvenation and farm tasks, showcasing their commitment to impactful, localized efforts.
    3. Mimecast's dedication to community resilience continues to grow with the launch of the Community Champions program, empowering employees to lead and promote social impact initiatives globally.

As part of Mimecast’s unwavering commitment to empower the communities where we live and work, we have officially wrapped up our third annual Global Community Resilience Month. This month-long initiative, taking place in July of each year since its inception in 2023, is globally recognized through all our offices as the dedicated time for Mimecasters to step out and make an impact out into the community.

For Mimecast, community resilience strengthens our own resilience, and as our business grows, it is our full intention to continue embedding a culture of nurturing our community involvement initiatives to reflect such. As a result, it is an honor to share that we have contributed over 800 hours of volunteerism this July. For reference, we contributed 400 hours globally during our inaugural year and 600 hours last year. This consistent growth is a direct reflection of our employees’ dedication to making impactful, localized efforts continuing to embed volunteerism into Mimecast’s DNA.

    Targeted and meaningful impact

With support from our partners at Goodera, a corporate volunteerism platform, and our long-term signature partners, we were able to offer a full range of ways to make targeted and meaningful impact, designed around what employees were able to offer. We had Mimecasters who stayed in the office, offering career insight or running STEM workshops for students in Johannesburg and Lexington. We also had Mimecasters who went out of the office and into their local communities, supporting food pantries across the United States, helping with farm tasks in London and Amsterdam, and even rejuvenating classrooms in Bangalore! These examples are just a small glimpse into the 18 opportunities executed throughout the month of July.

Volunteer initiatives like these not only provide employees with an opportunity to give back to the external community but also create a stronger bond internally within the company.

“During our volunteer event, one of the residents walking in the park saw me cleaning and spoke to me asking which organization we were a part of and how they could also volunteer. It was a proud moment to be able to say we were from Mimecast, and to also inspire other people to give back to the community.” – Alyssa Videña, Mimecast Front of House Coordinator, Mississauga office.

While this year’s Community Resilience Month has ended, Mimecast’s commitment to our local communities continues to grow stronger as we begin to launch our Community Champions program, a brand-new initiative, leaning on the local expertise of dedicated Mimecasters who are passionate about spearheading and promoting social impact initiatives across the company. Now more than ever, we are seeing the need to support our most vulnerable communities, and Mimecasters across the globe remain fiercely dedicated to not only meeting this need but actively fighting for a better future.
