On May 25, 2018, the new European data protection regulation, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), came into force. The GDPR is designed to protect the personal data of individuals residing in the European Union. It imposes obligations on organizations, no matter where they may be located, that collect, process and/or store this personal data.
