Our Commitment to Community and Environmental Resilience

We leverage our people, product, and passion to build a global community and environmental resilience, empowering and elevating underserved populations worldwide.

At Mimecast, building resilient communities is core to who we are, and giving back is at the heart of the Mimecast Way. Our employees deliver cyber resilience every day to the organizations that we are privileged to call customers. As part of our commitment to global resilience, we've built our Resilience Together program to bring meaningful and sustained support to the global communities where we live and work.

    Mimecast and COVID-19

    Mimecast and COVID-19

The Mimecast Way is built on a foundation of resilience. Never before has our resilience been tested as it is right now. To support our employees, our customers, and our communities, we've launched global programming to give back to the individuals and organizations that need it most. We've committed global funds and virtual volunteer resources to our signature nonprofit partners and the brave men and women fighting on the front lines of the COVID-19 public health crisis.

We know that community starts with our people. That’s why we've invested heavily in resources that allow our employees to thrive during uncertain times. We launched the Mimecaster Resilience Fund to direct critical funds to those in the Mimecast family who are facing crisis. And we've created virtual wellness and work-from-home resources to help our employees and their families thrive while remote. Every step of the way, we're committed to resilience together.

    Resilience At Mimecast

    Resilience Together - At Mimecast

At Mimecast, we are committed to environmental resilience and have taken significant steps to reduce our collective footprint.

We’ve installed solar arrays at multiple office locations, use 100% renewable energy to power many of our data centers and offices, and eliminated all single-use paper and plastic in our office kitchens. We’ve also created incentives for green commuting such as efficient vehicle charging stations and parking.

We recognize that we can’t solve our planet’s problems alone, but we can and will do our part while setting an example for others.

Our commitment to our communities starts with our 1,800 passionate, purpose-driven Mimecasters. All employees are given five days of paid time off to volunteer with any organization that they feel passionately about. Last year, our employees volunteered more than 1,000 hours in the community worldwide.

Our employees also take advantage of our generous matching gift program and recurring team volunteer opportunities throughout the year.

Through our dedicated philanthropic fund, Mimecast partners with nonprofits around the world to create and support resilient communities.

We focus on underrepresented populations in the communities where we live and work, with an emphasis on elevating opportunities for young people.

From underserved youth in the townships of South Africa to young urban adults entering the tech industry in Boston, we strive to instill resilience in all the communities where Mimecasters live and work.

We’ve faced down adversity before, which is why we remain steadfast amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. While we don’t know how long this crisis may last, we know that we’ll do all that we can to always invest in our people, our customers, and our community. We always have been – and always will be – resilient together.

Investing in Our People: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Mimecast

Our Mimecasters are our most important assets. “Invest In One Another” is one of our five core values, and it shows in how we treat one another. Mimecast is growing stronger each day because of our diversity. Through the ideas and power of all people, we are able to innovate in ways that we would not otherwise be able to. To support our employees and enable them to thrive, we provide extensive health and wellness offerings, open participation in all employee resource groups (ERGs), extensive professional development opportunities, and a truly inclusive work environment.

By investing in one another, we can bring a resilient spirit together and truly live the Mimecast Way every day. If you’d like to become a Mimecaster, be sure to check out our careers page.
