Mimecast participates at CHIME Fall CIO Forum and AEHIS Fall Summit

Mimecast continues commitment to helping healthcare sector manage resilience and cybersecurity

Watertown, MA – Mimecast Limited (NASDAQ: MIME), a leading email and data security company, today announced it will participate in the CHIME 17 Fall CIO Forum and AEHIS Fall Summit. The events, to be held back to back the week of October 30th in San Antonio, bring together healthcare CIOs and CISOs to collaborate on real-world solutions to healthcare information management technology and cybersecurity challenges.

Additionally, as a planning committee member for the AEHIS Fall Summit, Mimecast is helping to facilitate collaboration, idea exchange, and the effective use of security risk management for healthcare security leaders.

“There are a lot of resources out there for general security leaders, but healthcare has its own challenges that are unique to the industry. Healthcare CISOs rely on peer networking and professional development forums to stay ahead of the growing cyber threats and oversight demands,” said Danny Arnold, strategic advisor for Mimecast. “As a solution provider, we feel it is our responsibility to help drive these discussions and align security practices with overall organizational strategies, while leveraging the technology and services that will help expand security capabilities.”

Healthcare IT leaders are challenged daily with an onslaught of cyberattacks such as malware, ransomware, phishing campaigns, and threats to medical devices. Increasingly complex governmental security regulations further complicate the overall objective of safeguarding the network and protecting patient information.

As an email and data security solution provider, Mimecast is excited to engage with CHIME and AEHIS members on the role of email security in building their cyber resilience strategies. “Email is an essential communication channel that faces numerous threats from organized, sophisticated attackers. Administrators and healthcare employees need new tools to successfully identify threats and keep protected health information secure,” said Arnold.

    When: October 31-November 3

Why: The Forum provides valuable education programming, tailored specifically to meet the needs of CIOs and other healthcare IT executives, as well as face-to-face time with colleagues to collaborate, exchange best practices, address professional development needs and strengthen partnerships with industry associations, government agencies and service firms who share a professional interest in improving the quality, safety and cost-effectiveness of healthcare.
