Mimecast’s Migration Assist Service Receives the MSExchange.org Readers’ Choice Award

MSExchange.org readers select Mimecast as the best Exchange migration option

WALTHAM, Mass. — November 30, 2011 — Mimecast ®, the leading supplier of cloud-based email archiving, continuity and security for Microsoft Exchange and Office 365,  announces that its Migration Assist service has been selected as a MSExchange.org Readers’ Choice Award winner amongst a variety of nominees offering Exchange migration services.

Mimecast's Migration Assist provides email archiving, continuity and security protection for users making the switch either to Microsoft Exchange 2010 or Office 365 – a trend that is expected to affect hundreds of thousands of businesses over the next two years. Notably, Mimecast provides continuity service free for six months, allowing users to migrate without the fear of lost productivity due to any Exchange server downtime. This is especially important with recent research from Loudhouse indicating that potential data loss and concerns about email downtime are the two major issues associated with email migration.

“Accolades and awards are always gratifying, but nothing beats recognition from the community of people we’re talking to, day in and day out, about Microsoft Exchange-related issues,” said Peter Bauer. “At Mimecast, we try very hard to provide support to the Exchange community and understand its issues, and our Migration Assist program was designed to provide peace of mind for businesses considering migrations to Exchange 2010 or Office 365, and perhaps accelerate their decision making at the same time.  In the six months the program has been running Exchange administrators have expressed their appreciation for our willingness to offer a genuinely helpful service with no obligation to purchase.”

“Our Reader’s Choice Awards give visitors to our site the opportunity to vote for the products they view as the very best in their respective category,” said Sean Buttigieg, MSExchange.org manager. “MSExchange.org users are specialists in their field who encounter various solutions for Exchange Server at the workplace.  Their vote serves as a solid peer-to-peer recommendation of the winning product.”

MSExchange.org conducts regular polls to discover which product is preferred by Exchange administrators in a particular category of third-party solutions for Microsoft Exchange Servers. The awards draw a huge response per category and are based entirely on the visitors’ votes. MSExchange.org users can submit their votes for the current Readers' Award poll in the site’s left-hand bar.
