Brown Rudnick LLP improves efficiency and consolidates IT costs with Mimecast

    Newton, Mass. – Mimecast, a holistic email management company offering SaaS-based email archiving, continuity and security, today announced that international law firm Brown Rudnick LLP has quickly achieved the benefits of SaaS email management with a 60 percent reduction in IT costs. As an early adopter of SaaS email management, Brown Rudnick implemented Mimecast’s Unified Email Management service across six offices worldwide, enabling a holistic, unified approach to managing data leak prevention (DLP), email archiving and security for legal compliance and eDiscovery.

    Mimecast replaced Brown Rudnick’s distributed email environment, which ran four different applications for email security, data leak protection, spam filtering and virus protection. As the firm continued to expand, its existing email management approach became too complex and expensive for maintaining servers at offices throughout the world. Mimecast’s SaaS offering addressed the firm’s initiative to implement a cost-effective, robust solution that would keep the firm at the forefront of data security, and eDiscovery archiving techniques.
