Mimecast Recognized for Best Service at BE Midmarket CIO Forum
10th BE Midmarket CIO Forum Attendees Pick Mimecast as top IT service provider in Vendor Excellence awards
Watertown, MA – Today Mimecast announced it has been recognized as a winner of a Vendor Excellence award at this year’s 10th BE Midmarket CIO Forum, in the ‘Best Midmarket Solution – Service’ category.
The award recognizes a company with an established service that has been exemplary in specifically meeting the needs of the midmarket. IT executives and technology solution providers attending the BE Midmarket CIO Forum picked Mimecast and its Unified Email Management (UEM) service. Mimecast is a leader in enterprise cloud services for the protection and management of email and corporate data. The company's cloud email security, archiving and continuity services are built on Mimecast's secure cloud platform and optimized for Microsoft Exchange and Office 365.
Mimecast’s Vice President of Strategic Field Engagement, Mounil Patel, presented at one of the event’s sessions, “The Future of Email – On Premises, Hybrid or Cloud?” Mounil discussed the best ways for organizations to develop their future-looking email and cloud strategy, while avoiding the hazards of threats like spear-phishing, downtime and data leaks.
- “Midmarket CIOs are faced with many new challenges as they make the transition to the cloud. We work hard to be a partner to them as they make this move, protecting their organization’s business continuity and critical data as they adopt new IT environments,” said Bekim Protopapa, General Manager, Mimecast. “We’re honored that attendees of the BE Midmarket CIO Forum have recognized Mimecast as a clear leader in providing a service that mitigates the risks customers face today to critical systems like email and our role in enabling an effective migration to the cloud with its improved performance and cost.”
- “Today IT decision makers are scrutinizing their future IT strategy and looking critically at the future of their on-premises infrastructure. In the mid-market in particular more and more IT teams are turning to a hybrid or pure cloud solution for their critical operations like email,” said Mounil Patel, VP of strategic field engagement, Mimecast. “Deciding which works best for the organization is not easy. The right solution must reduce risk, and tick all boxes too on reducing the complexity and cost faced by the organization. We have worked hard for over ten years to create a powerful and secure service that allows organizations to move a critical workload like email to the cloud, freeing them from the constraints, cost and risk of their creaking on-premises infrastructure.”
Mimecast's world-leading secure cloud platform and optimized for Microsoft Exchange and Office 365. Mimecast Email Security protects against inbound and outbound email-borne threats, deliberate or accidental data leaks and email service outages. Mimecast Cloud Archive unifies email, file and Instant Messaging data to give end-users fast access to their personal archive via PC, Mac and mobile apps. Other end-user productivity tools include Large File Send which allows users to send large attachments from within email. For IT teams, Mimecast provides a single administration console that provides centralized management of security and content protection as well as retention policies to support compliance and eDiscovery requirements.
