E-ZU & Mimecast unite to provide Unified Email Management service to organisations needing more than just anti-spam!
Posted on 7 April 2008
Mimecast, a Software-Plus-Services Partner for Microsoft Exchange and Outlook, has announced today that E-ZU Solutions, specialists in email and internet security solutions, are to add the unified email management service from Mimecast to their portfolio.
Mimecast Services for Microsoft Exchange, Outlook and Windows Mobile give customers of all sizes access to an enterprise level unified email management service that includes email security, continuity and archiving. Because Mimecast utilises a Software-as-a-Service (S-a-a-S) model it is quick and easy to connect to, with no need for hardware or software, removing the hassle, complexity and cost of alternative on-premise solutions - but without sacrificing any of the quality and control.
Steve Anthony, Managing Director of E-ZU Solutions, gave Mimecast his seal of approval after using the service at E-ZU to help improve their own security and email management. He said, “The decision to instigate this new relationship with Mimecast was driven by two factors; first by our customers and their requirements, and then by our own technical specialists who made me aware of just how capable and yet simple the service is. The burden on companies to have effective email management facilities has increased over the years in line with the business needs to meet the challenges of compliance, data leak prevention, archiving and e-discovery and continuity. The security landscape seems slow in adapting to the very real threats we see out there today, threats that signature based solutions and traditional anti-spam have become less effective against. We have a commitment to all our clients, with particularly attention to those in the legal and financial services sectors, where compliance may be more relevant, to provide them with the most appropriate, effective and modern techniques to deal with today’s known and unknown threats. In addition, working with Mimecast provides a unified email management service that combines email security, archiving and continuity that we cannot better with any other vendor solution.”
Peter Bauer CEO of Mimecast added, “We are delighted to team up with such a prominent email security partner such as E-ZU Solutions. The fact that they have recognised the strength of our security offering as being more appropriate to combat today’s threats shows that our investment in developing techniques that are effective, while alternative systems become less and less so over time, has been worthwhile. E-ZU has the respect of their customers as being a trusted partner for security products, and in doing so they help to make those organisations become more effectively run businesses. What this new partnership means to them is that in addition to more effective email security, E-ZU’s customers who also need a more complete email management solution can now have email security, archiving and continuity combined in one unified email management service.”
