I have been working flat out on some new white papers for Mimecast and the first of which, Data Leak Prevention for Governance, Risk and Compliance looks at the role of data leak prevention technologies in the wider context of of improved governance, risk mitigation and legislative compliance.

Too many people rely on islands of protection offered by point solutions.  These do not provide the end-to-end lifecycle management that e-mail demands, due to its unique rule within the organisation both as a critical messaging workflow and as potential evidence in legal proceedings.
