Garth Wittles - Managing Director, Mimecast South Africa
Garth has over 18 years experience in channel and market development for complex enterprise software applications in the Knowledge Management space.
As Marketing and Sales Director for Aquarium Technology (Pty) Ltd and later independently setting up local operations, he successfully introduced and established the footprint of a number of leading international software vendors into Southern Africa including Scopus CRM, (now Siebel), Keyfile EDM & BPM (now Global360) and Verity Inc (now Autonomy Plc). Garth has managed Mimecast South Africa since 2003.
Thomas van der Linde - Marketing Director, Mimecast South Africa
Thomas has been a key player in the ICT sector working with a number of telecoms providers in MEA.He has extensive experience in strategy development, marketing communications and has been involved in bringing new telecommunications products to market.
One of his biggest achievements to date is the successful consumer launch of the World’s First CDMA2000 1x EV-DO Fixed Wireless Phone at Neotel, South Africa’s new convergence telecommunications operator.
Van der Linde is a Cum Laude student and has a Bachelor Social Science from RAU, as well as merit award winner Professional Advertising from Damelin. He has attended various International Digital, Content and Management programs.
His key achievements include the Successful launch of all GSM Consumer products for Motorola. As CMO at Itouch – Boungiorno, global leader in digital and mobile entertainment Van der Linde managed the Digital portfolio of Local & International Brands being nominated as a top performing financial generating WASP.
He is well versed in Brand Management, Communications, Digital Campaign Management, and Research.
Brandon Bekker – Sales Director, Mimecast South Africa
In Brandon’s ten years at Dimension Data he rose from account manager to the Sales Director of DD Western Cape. During his 6 years as an Account Manager he worked large corporates such as Vodacom and Woolworths. He was Sales Person of the Year for four of those years. He then moved to IS to head up IS Western Cape and helped grow the business 100% in his 2.5 years.
Brandon has been with Mimecast since January 2007 and splits his time between Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Grant Hodgkinson, Business Development and Alliances Director, Mimecast South Africa.
Grant has spent almost a decade working within the reseller channel across Africa and the Middle East, which has given him extensive insight into the workings of both successful and unsuccessful channel partner programs. This experience ensures that Grant is focused on ensuring both better technical skills transferral to Mimecast channel partners, as well as higher levels of support for partners to allow them to deliver successfully to their clients.
Previously the managing director of Microsoft solutions company Mint, Grant combined his knowledge in the technical and sales areas to improve company profitability and build an empowered management team. He led the acquisition of Mint by JSE-listed company Simeka Business Group in 2008.
