Vertical Sales Executive

Job Purpose 

This role is a combination of Direct and Direct Touch in orientation. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable selling directly to end users or through a channel partner.   The candidate will be a highly ambitious self starting individual who understands that their success is their responsibility. They will need to be quick to learn, articulate, personable with a strong attention to detail.  This is a national sales role although the individuals will be expected to work from our southern based offices.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual new business targets
  • Develop a cohesive business plan for your territory and execute effectively against that plan
  • Build and maintain relationships with new business prospects
  • Business Administration –manage the reporting of the KPI’s* and general Net Suite (CRM) housekeeping
  • Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information
  • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions
  • Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills

KPI’s are still to be finalised but will include:

  • End user meetings / WebEx’s booked
  • End user meetings / WebEx’s attended
  • New opportunities created
  • Business closed
  • Lead Management (responsiveness and success ratios)
  • Pipeline stats – pipeline movements

Previous Experience / Requirements:

  • Degree level education (preferred but not required)
  • Minimum 2-3 years IT sales experience (ideally within Email/Messaging but not essential)
  • Ideally with experience of both Direct & In-Direct sales roles.
